MASSURIA 2021 AND CECINA

The new 2021 vintage of Massuria has just arrived. We bring you some notes from the producer, Josep Mas. This is a project we have followed since its beginnings: a unique, age-worthy wine in Bordeaux style. You can find it in 75 cl, 150 cl, and 300 cl formats.

Cecina, a typical cured meat from the León region, is made from the hind parts of bovines, mainly from cows. It is an excellent option to taste and enjoy this Massuria 2021 at a leisurely pace. A protein-rich cured meat with low fat content.

Direct Notes from the Producer:

A cold vintage typical of an Atlantic climate.
98% Mencía and 2% Alicante Bouschet.
13.2% vol. alcohol.

A short barrel aging, with only 10% of the barrels being new. Followed by 2 years of aging in concrete tanks. Bottled in 2024 and rested in the cellar until now, when we start selling it.

Bright ruby color. Fresh and metallic notes. Well-integrated tannins and a complex finish. A seductive wine with a strong aromatic return.
